CARL ZEISS UNIVERSAL MEASURING
INSTRUMENT
Our Zeiss measuring instrument is primarily used for inspecting and calibrating lead
and half angles on thread gages as well as threaded product.
This instrument is equipped with heiddenheim scales with digital readout.
This instrument has an accuracy of .00001 in.
Many calibration labs do not inspect lead and half angles on thread gages, even though
the Federal H-28 standards and the ANSI standards require that these elements be
inspected.
CONTOUREADER
Our PMC Contoureader is used for measuring many different contours and dimensions of
parts such as thread forms, half angles, included angles, radii and much more.
CSIS can inspect your parts and supply you with a hard copy print out of your part as
well as actual reading dimensions being inspected.
The Contoureader is able to inspect internal and external parts without having to
destroy them by sectioning.
The accuracy of the Contoureader is +/- .0002 in. in one inch of travel and its
calibration master is traceable to N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and
Technology).
FEDERAL INTERNAL MEASURING MACHINE
The model 136B-5 Federal Internal/External Comparator is used for calibrating plain
ring gages. This instrument compares I.D.'s from 0.040" to 12.000" with
size comparisons within .000005".
CALIBRATION AND CERTIFICATION
REPORTS
Our calibration reports contain all the required information that is needed to comply
to the latest Standards such as ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, H-28, ANSI Standards, ISO-9000 and API
Q-1.All setting standards used at CSIS are traceable to N.I.S.T (National Institute of
Standards and Technology).

Along with gage calibration, CSIS is capable of inspecting customer parts. We can
do first article, samples and lot inspection and furnish inspection reports with actual
values.
PRATT & WHITNEY SUPER MIC
Our Pratt & Whitney Super Mics are used for inspecting the O.D. and pitch diameter
of thread plug gages, the O.D. of plain plug gages and master setting discs.
We have one Super Mic with a 10 in. capacity and one that will go to 48 in. capacity
which can be used to check length standards and larger gages.
The accuracy of both instruments is .00001 in.
